Blastostyle Blas"to*style, n. [Gr. blasto`s sprout, bud + ? a pillar.] (Zo["o]l.) In certain hydroids, an imperfect zooid, whose special function is to produce medusoid buds. See {Hydroidea}, and {Athecata}. [1913 Webster]
