Veer Veer, v. i. [imp. & p. p. {Veered}; p. pr. & vb. n. {Veering}.] [F. virer (cf. Sp. virar, birar), LL. virare; perhaps fr. L. vibrare to brandish, vibrate (cf. {Vibrate}); or cf. L. viriae armlets, bracelets, viriola a little bracelet (cf. {Ferrule}).
