Tiliaceous Til`i*a"ceous, a. [OE. tilia the linden tree.] (Bot.) Of, pertaining to, or resembling, a natural family of plants ({Tiliace[ae]}) of which the linden ({Tilia}) is the type. The family includes many plants which furnish a valuable fiber, as the jute. [1913 Webster +PJC]
