Thelyphonus giganteus
Vinegarroon Vin`e*gar*roon", n. [Cf. Sp. vinagre vinegar.] A whip scorpion, esp. a large Mexican species ({Thelyphonus giganteus}) popularly supposed to be very venomous; -- from the odor that it emits when alarmed. [Webster 1913 Suppl.]
