Syconium Sy*co"ni*um, Syconus Sy*co"nus, n. [NL., fr. Gr. ? the fig.] (Bot.) A collective fleshy fruit, in which the ovaries are hidden within a hollow receptacle, as in the fig. [1913 Webster]
