Nepa Ne"pa, n. [L. nepa scorpion.] (Zo["o]l.) A genus of aquatic hemipterous insects. The species feed upon other insects and are noted for their voracity; -- called also {scorpion bug} and {water scorpion}. [1913 Webster]
