Respect Re*spect" (r?*sp?kt"), v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Respected}; p. pr. & vb. n. {Respecting}.] [L. respectare, v. intens. from respicere, respectum, to look back, respect; pref. re- re- + specere, spicere, to look, to view: cf.
