Raffia Raf"fi*a (r[a^]f"f[i^]*[.a]), n. (Bot.) A fibrous material used for tying plants, said to come from the leaves of a palm tree of the genus {Raphia}. --J. Smith (Dict. Econ. Plants). [1913 Webster]
