Psophia crepitans
Agami Ag"a*mi ([a^]g"[.a]*m[=e]), n.; pl. {Agamis} ([a^]g"[.a]*m[=e]z). [F. agami, fr. the native name.] (Zo["o]l.) A South American bird ({Psophia crepitans}), allied to the cranes, and easily domesticated; -- called also the {gold-breasted trumpeter}. Its body is about the size of the pheasant. See {Trumpeter}.
