Balanoid Bal"a*noid, a. [Gr. ba`lanos acorn + -oid.] (Zo["o]l.) Resembling an acorn; -- applied to a group of barnacles having shells shaped like acorns. See {Acornshell}, and {Barnacle}. [1913 Webster]
