Lupinine
Lupinine Lu"pin*ine, n. (Chem.) An alkaloid found in several species of lupine ({Lupinus luteus}, {Lupinus albus}, etc.), and extracted as a bitter crystalline substance, having a formula {C10H19NO}. Called also l-lupinine [1913 Webster]

Note: Chemically it is a a bicyclic saturated quinolizine [1-R-trans]-Octahydro-2H-quinolizine-1-methanol, with the structure: CH2OH | / H / / |/ | | | | N | / / / / --[MI11] [PJC]
